DVDS
“The Grey” (R): Grizzled Liam Neeson reunites with “A-Team” director Joe Carnahan for this tale of stranded Arctic plane-crash survivors menaced by wolves.
Glenn Close and Janet McTeer earned Oscar nominations for “Albert Nobbs” (R), a quiet-desperation tale of a repressed Victorian-era woman who masquerades as a man to earn her keep. In “Rampart” (R), Woody Harrelson brings the heat as a renegade cop struggling to sort out his professional and personal lives. Katherine Heigl plays Jersey-girl bounty hunter Stephanie Plum in an adaptation of Janet Evanovich’s best-selling “One for the Money” (PG-13). In the sci-fi thriller “Chronicle” (PG-13), high school pals (Dane DeHaan, Michael B. Jordan, Alex Russell) develop telekinetic powers after discovering a strange cosmic force. And in “The Devil Inside” (R), a woman (Fernanda Andrade) tries to determine whether her mother is mentally ill or demonically possessed.
