Busy Vegas weekend for Darius Rucker
Darius Rucker has a big day on Saturday, filled with two of his favorite things: golf and singing.
The singer hits the ACM Lifting Lives Celebrity Golf Classic during the day, then performs Saturday night on Mandalay Bay’s outdoor beach stage.
Rucker is sure to be part of the "Lionel Richie and Friends" concert Monday at the MGM Grand Garden. The two had a year’s head start on Richie’s new duets album, pairing up for "Stuck On You" at a previous awards show and music industry event last year.
Rucker is doing fine on his own in his post-Hootie & the Blowfish career on country radio. The South Carolina native has mostly finished writing songs for his third country album.
