Simultaneously sad and inspiring is “Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone.”
The can’t-miss documentary on these great L.A. funk rock square pegs is sometimes difficult to watch. You see the band members struggle just to keep roofs over their heads after being put through the record industry ringer despite considerable commercial promise early in their career.
But ultimately, seeing these dudes persevere and continue to set stages ablaze the world over with their combustible soul punk begins to right the many wrongs they’ve had to endure.
When their luck is hard, Fishbone simply plays harder.
