Koffin Kats hit ‘Highway’ to Vegas
“I can’t figure out what it means to be normal,” Koffin Kats singer/bassist Vic Victor sings on “Choke” from the band’s latest disc, “Our Way and the Highway.”
This is a given, a statement of the obvious from a not-so-obvious sounding psychobilly troupe.
On “Highway,” the Kats add layers of muscle and hard rock guitar fireworks to their overheated, booze and tattoo-centric rockabilly.
What results is the band’s most insistently catchy and anthemic record yet, as this horror lovin’ trio claw themselves up from the underground like the undead rising from the grave.
