Lenny Kravitz show to feature guest stars
He once complained in song that rock ‘n’ roll is dead, so what has Lenny Kravitz done to resuscitate it?
Primarily, he has looked to the past in an attempt to invigorate the present, adding some soul to hairy-chested classic rock riff mongering with a funk and R&B swing and a slick pop savvy.
As such, he’s a multipurpose kind of guy, which is underscored in the studio, where Kravitz does most everything himself, often playing all the guitars, drums and bass in addition to singing.
Live, it’s a different story, at least for his upcoming Vegas gig, which will feature special appearances by Slash, Cee Lo Green, Kid Cudi and Lil Jon.
That’s a guest list as varied as Kravitz’s repertoire itself.
