Mates of State hitting Cosmo

Mates of State’s plucky piano pop feels sweet even when the sentiment it’s reflecting is decidedly sour. The warm, welcoming, intertwined voices of husband-and-wife duo of Jason Hammel and Kori Gardner are suggestive of rainbows, lollipops, puppy dogs and other things that make little girls smile.
