The Bank at Bellagio boasts upscale vibe
It’s hard to talk about The Bank nightclub at Bellagio without slipping into financial punnery.
But describing the nightclub as "rich" is, it turns out, totally accurate.
"As you walk in, you’re definitely getting an impression that it is a place where all precious things are kept," says Jake Saady, vice president of marketing for The Light Group.
"As you walk into the club, we have what we call the Cristal room, which is a room that has about 500 bottles of Cristal champagne in cases. So you’re automatically getting the feel of a very high-end intensive nightclub."
The Bank opened in January 2008 and is, Saady says, "exactly what you’d expect from a nightclub at the Bellagio. It’s a very upscale, intimate, international vibe. The decor is very plush and elegant. The service is absolutely the best in town."
The Bank occupies about 6,600 square feet of space. That’s smaller, certainly, than the city’s megaclubs, but The Bank’s three-tiered design helps to create a space that’s both intimate and airy.
The bottom tier is the dance floor, above which is the VIP mezzanine. And above that is a large standing-room area that overlooks the entire place.
Because of the three-tiered layout, there’s no "separation effect," Saady says. "It actually allows more people to enjoy the same ambiance and the same energy while sharing a space. No matter where you stand, you can see the entire club, and you can share the experience of that room."
Music is supplied by resident DJs — including David Christian and DJ Karma — who, Saady says, "are amazing."
And, he says, The Bank also is occasionally treated with performances by international stars, including, in the past, Mariah Carey and Lady Gaga.
While tourists — particularly tourists who are staying at Bellagio — make up much of the club’s clientele, The Bank also caters to locals with industry nights on Sundays.
"It’s definitely the hospitality and the nightlife industry destination for Vegas on Sundays," Saady says. "You can rub elbows with top nightclub hosts and promoters and executives."
Above all, Saady says, "I would say the thing that sticks with me most when it comes to The Bank is the quality of the crowds and the customers.
"We pride ourselves on catering to an international, high-end demographic. And the other major thing people know about The Bank is, the service is unparalleled."
The Bank is open from 10:30 p.m. to about 4:30 a.m. Thursdays through Sundays. Cover is $30 for men and women, and locals are always free on Sundays.
The Bank is located at Bellagio, 3600 Las Vegas Blvd. South. For more information, call 693-8300.
