Square, round dancing scheduled for Aug. 18
An afternoon of square dancing and round dancing is scheduled from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Aug. 18 at the East Las Vegas Community/Senior Center, 250 North Eastern Ave.
The dance culminates the efforts of the Stardusters Square Dance Club to collect teddy bears that will be donated to the Children’s Miracle Network for children in need.
All ages are welcome to attend, and participants can learn some new moves in a half-hour workshop from 3 to 3:30 p.m. Guest square dance callers Arlen Miller, Ron Sowash and Andy Finch will add their voices to the afternoon of dancing.
Tickets are $3 per person and free for children age 5 and under. For more information, call 229-1515.
