Author to host writing, reading workshops

Reading and writing workshops by Nevada author and poet Adam Henry Carriere are scheduled as part of the Nevada Arts Council's Tumblewords program.

The literary program is designed to place writers in residencies throughout the state of Nevada.

Carriere will read from and discuss his work at 7 p.m. today and will conduct a workshop for aspiring writers at 2 p.m. Saturday.

Both events will take place at Reed Whipple Cultural Center, 821 Las Vegas Blvd. North.
