The story: Blu (Eisenberg), Jewel (Hathaway) and their three kids find themselves stuck in the wilds of the Amazon in this animated sequel.

The buzz: The 2011 original earned $143 million in the U.S., but a whopping $341 million in the rest of the world. The sequel’s opening may be muted, though, considering the current glut of family movies, as “Muppets Most Wanted,” “Mr. Peabody & Sherman,” “The Lego Movie” and even “Frozen” are still in theaters.
