Ferguson signs on as host of ‘Celebrity Name Game’

Craig Ferguson wasn’t without a job for long.

On Monday, America’s favorite Scottish-born late-night host, who in April announced his plans to step down from “The Late Late Show,” begins presiding over “Celebrity Name Game” (10 and 10:30 p.m. weekdays and 5 and 5:30 p.m. Saturdays, KVMY-TV, Channel 21).

It’s one of a handful of syndicated series new to local TV stations this fall.

“The Pinkertons” (12:35 a.m. Oct. 5, KTNV-TV, Channel 13) is a rarity in syndication these days: a new scripted drama. The series follows the members of the pioneering detective agency in the 1860s.

Former “Today” show co-host Meredith Vieira is back in daytime with her eponymous talk show (1 p.m. weekdays, KVVU-TV, Channel 5), while Tamar Braxton, Tamera Mowry-Housley, Loni Love, Jeannie Mai and Adrienne Bailon host the talk show “The Real” (10 a.m. weekdays, Channel 5).

And a panel of three judges presides over real cases on “Hot Bench” (2 and 2:30 p.m. weekdays, KVCW-TV, Channel 33), while former Miss America runner-up Faith Jenkins delivers verdicts on “Judge Faith” (9:30 a.m. weekdays, Channel 21).

Also new to local stations are reruns of:

■ “Scandal” (12:30 a.m. Sundays and 1 a.m. Mondays, Channel 13);

■ “Blue Bloods” (2:30 p.m. Saturdays, Channel 5);

■ “Mike and Molly” (5 and 5:30 p.m. weekdays, 1 and 1:30 p.m. Saturdays and 4 and 4:30 p.m. Saturdays, Channel 21);

■ “Anger Management” (midnight and 12:30 a.m. weekdays, 11 and 11:30 p.m. Sundays and 1 and 1:30 a.m. Mondays, Channel 33);

■ “Cougar Town” (2 a.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays, midnight Sundays and 12:30 a.m. Mondays, Channel 21);

“Raising Hope” (4 a.m. weekdays, 6 and 6:30 p.m. Sundays, Channel 33);

■ and “Hot in Cleveland” (11 and 11:30 p.m. weekdays, Channel 33).
