Ralston resurfaces on PBS stations

Gov. Brian Sandoval is scheduled to be the first guest on “Ralston Live.”

The new political talk show hosted by Jon Ralston will air five nights a week, beginning at 5:30 p.m. March 2, on PBS affiliates KLVX-TV, Channel 10, in Las Vegas and KNPB-TV, Channel 5, in Reno.

“I’m thrilled to be joining Vegas PBS and KNPB,” Ralston said in a statement. “This is a perfect marriage of two brands. I look forward to doing what we have done for years on television at a place with a storied history of quality programming.”

“Ralston Reports,” the pundit’s longtime show, was last broadcast Dec. 12 on KSNV-TV, Channel 3.

“Vegas PBS is pleased to bring back to television a journalist and political analyst who is nationally respected and widely followed by Nevada political leaders and activists,” KLVX General Manager Tom Axtell said in the statement. “Through this production partnership with KNPB and our sponsors, public service television will offer unique and diverse statewide perspectives on Nevada politics, business and social issues.”

Production costs for the new series, which will be overseen by executive producer Dana Gentry, will be shared by both stations.
