The Ogden in downtown Las Vegas

With a vibrant, walker-friendly community in mind, Will Sisk and Paula Pant set out last year to find their perfect home, landing in downtown Las Vegas. The couple recently left Atlanta, Ga., with dreams of the West Coast and enviable flexibility to settle wherever their hearts desired. So many positives pointed them directly to The Ogden, where they recently purchased a two-bedroom, two-bath 1698-square-foot Dentner model.

"€œWe both work from home and can live anywhere we would like," Pant said. "We have designed our lives to be as little car-dependent as possible. The location of The Ogden blows the walkability of our past neighborhoods out of the water. There are countless restaurants, bars and shops just a stone’s throw away."

The couple has called The Ogden home for just over a week now. With the smell of cardboard boxes still fresh in the house, Paula and Will are already diving into the downtown community and excited about becoming a vital part of everything that’s going on in the area.

"The ongoing transformation of downtown Las Vegas and the idea behind the Downtown Project is really cool. Regardless of what happens in the next few years, the seeds have been planted and the momentum is real,"€ Pant said. "It'€™s really cool to be a part of a community’s transition and new vitality. Being on the ground level and a small part of this exciting growth is something we both value."

Paula is a successful blogger focusing on harnessing money and growing wealth to accomplish great dreams in her blog, www.affordanything.com, and Will works for a small software company. Between work and fun, both are on planes at least once a month, so proximity to a major airport was of critical importance. "€œMany of the other cities we considered were two or more hours from a major international airport, which makes travel difficult," Pant said. "Having a huge airport within 15 minutes of home is so convenient."

The couple is already loving their new home at The Ogden and all the extras offered by the residence and the neighborhood. Pant said, "€œI have walked across the street to dine at Le Thai several times already this week."€

Homes at The Ogden range from a one-bedroom, 815-square-foot residence for $229,000 to a three-bedroom, plus den, 2,044-square-foot home for $629,000. Residences feature a modern design in keeping with the architecture and the lifestyle vibe, private balconies and expansive views of downtown Las Vegas, the Strip and the mountains that frame the valley.

The Ogden’s single-story, open floor plans offer flex spaces that can serve as a home office, den or yoga room, extra bedrooms for accommodating multigenerational family and guests, and spacious windows that fill interiors with natural light.
