Former supermodel Claudia Shiffer probably never punched an office clock in her life. If she did, however, this little number would’ve easily taken her from cubicles to cocktails. The one-time face of Guess? jeans stuns as she arrives for a Chanel fashion show in this no-fuss ensemble that consists of five easy pieces.
Shiffer’s tweed jacket screams Karl Lagerfeld with its update to the fabric ladies never lunch without. The details at the wrists, hip-skimming length and cinched waist with a skinny belt take all the blah out of this blazer.
A pair of black cigarette pants reminds us that this blond beauty once plastered the insides of boys’ high school lockers. Her long legs get shape without stepping out of office bounds.
Like the jacket and pants, Shiffer’s peep-toe pumps fit right into a working environment. Her double-strand necklace and clutch take her look past 9-to-5 hours. The former hangs low, suggesting a relaxed, off-the-clock tone, and sparkles enough to make a statement. The German model holds onto a petite clutch that would get lost if it weren’t for the jewels sparkling atop it.
Shiffer looks ready for the celebrity-studded fashion show she’s attending, but if you take two simple steps, the look completely changes. First, remove the necklace and throw on a shorter version. Second, place the clutch inside an oversize tote and sling it over your shoulder during work. Voilá, you’ve just accomplished the office-to-cocktails transition.
