HAVE FAITH IN OUTERWEAR
Something tells us Faith Hill was singing praises for cold weather accessories in this photo. If not, women in the audience definitely were.
The cozy look the country/pop singer donned during this “Today” show performance proves lower temperatures need not call for shivering shoulders — or marshmallow motifs. Why chatter your teeth and numb your toes when you can look über stylish, and a little smarter, in a few add-ons? If the extra bulk’s got you concerned, look to Hill here for reassurance.
She manages to still define that long, svelte shape with an all-black ensemble. The calf-grazing wool coat can take credit for that. Its slim, narrow fit hugs the singer’s figure like only Tim McGraw could. Her pumped pointer tells us the fit may be snug, but not to the point she has to stand like a nutcracker while sporting it.
Hill’s scarf and gloves, the two key accessories you probably bemoaned as a kid, give the look some character. The abbreviated, leather gloves in particular incorporate a subtle dash of edge. The look as a whole carries a pristine “Winter Wonderland” tone.
The wide-leg pinstripe pants add to the ode to menswear. Hill again tells us there’s plenty of sugar here, but the spice hasn’t gone overlooked.
Finally, the beret. We breathed a long-awaited exhale over this one simply because it means this lovely hair accessory can be worn again without fearing the once-inevitable Monica Lewinsky joke.
For those of you who’d love to stay warm this holiday season without looking like Ralphie’s little brother on “A Christmas Story,” consider these items.
