On April 11, Saks Fifth Avenue will showcase the Best of Spring fashions at the annual Las Vegas Philharmonic gala held at the Venetian. The event, “An Evening of Elegance and Style,” will include a runway fashion show of A-list designers including Yves Saint Laurent, Moschino, Chloe, Akris, Dior, Dolce & Gabbana and more. The evening begins at 6 p.m. with a reception and silent auction. Dinner will be served at 7:30 p.m. followed by Saks Fifth Avenue’s fashion presentation. This year’s honorees for the gala are Kevin and Diana Orrock and the Howard Hughes Corp. Tickets are $500, which will benefit the Las Vegas Philharmonic. Fashion for Charity: Galleria at Sunset will host the Green Valley Chapter of the National Charity League’s annual fashion show on Saturday at noon and 2 p.m. The National Charity League is a philanthropic organization designed to foster mother/daughter bonding. Each year the organization’s Green Valley chapter hosts a themed fashion show to benefit charity. This year’s “All You Need is Love” fashion shows feature daughters from area schools and will benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation. Girls from Bishop Gorman, Coronado, Green Valley, Liberty and Sierra Vista high schools will be modeling spring and prom fashions.

On the Runway: Quicksilver will be showing its latest attire on the runway in the Great Hall at Fashion Show mall today through Sunday. Fashion shows run every hour on the hour from noon to 6 p.m.
