• Are messenger bags status symbols? Definitely. Women started it and now men have graduated to them. A lot of guys carry them just for status. They don’t even have anything in them.

• What does this bag say about you? It says that I’m carrying my work with me everywhere I go.

• If someone found your bag and looked inside, what would they think about you? That I’m complicated, but organized.

• What’s the most important item you’ve carried in your bag? My flash drive.

• What’s the strangest? Hang tags.

A Gucci messenger bag that I bought in Milan. It was my whole reason for going there.

• Knockoffs: Love ’em or hate ’em? Being a designer (of Karma), I hate them because people that buy them do it for status. I’ll see a person with a $1,000 bag and $16 shoes. It doesn’t equate.
