(The) first purse I ever bought (was a) brown bag by LeSportsac from the Soho store in New York City. I am a fanatic for pattern and design. The bag had it all!

• How many handbags do you own? As many as my closet will allow.

• What do you like about this handbag? It’s roomy without feeling like a suitcase. And, of course, it’s fabulous color!

• What’s the most you ever paid for a purse? A couple hundred for a designer bag at a sample sale at Comme de Garcons. (My best gems are always found on the sale rack.)
