What: Dan Gregory. Part of the First Fridays series presented for industry professionals by the Las Vegas Design Center. Gregory, author of “Cliff May and the Modern Ranch House” will discuss how May was the chief proponent of the modern ranch house, which took the country by storm starting in 1930. Gregory is editor-in-chief of Houseplans.com and a former senior home editor of Sunset magazine.

What: Neon Museum Visitors Center design event. The Las Vegas Neon Museum, city of Las Vegas and assemblageSTUDIO are sponsoring a presentation by Alan Hess. He will discuss the work of Paul Williams, architect of La Concha, as well as the architectural style of Googie.
