Symphony’s new electric fireplace taps into key trends
Dimplex North America has expanded its Symphony Maestro electric fireplace collection with new designs that feature elements that speak to important interior design trends.
Consumers want their homes to be havens in their busy lives. The trend toward natural elements with more handcrafted furniture and plenty of carved details and scrollwork is stronger than ever. This coincides with the continuing rise in popularity of high-tech home gear, namely flat-screen TVs for home theaters.
“A great way to capitalize on these trends, while also adding warmth and ambiance to the room, is to incorporate a fireplace,” said Kristine Rose, vice president for the company’s Symphony division. “It’s a classic way to develop a focal point and helps set the tone of a room. And with a Maestro electric fireplace, that comfort and a sense of drama are available at the flick of a switch.”
Since no venting is required with an electric fireplace, installation is a snap: simply plug it in. This allows consumers to move their fireplace from room to room and home to home.
Unlike a conventional wood or gas fireplace, an electric fireplace can be operated with or without heat with the included remote control. Maestro’s patented flame technology creates the look of a realistic wood fire in a 26-inch firebox.
The fireplaces are economical to run, too. Based on average national residential electricity rates, consumers can enjoy the flame for just 3 cents per hour, and with the heater operating for 8 cents per hour.
Another advantage of going electric? The fireplaces are available in a range of trend-conscious designs.
Consumers with a traditional décor can add a touch of richness with the Archer fireplace. It has a graceful curved look in a pecan finish with a carved arch over the firebox. For consumers who want impact in their interior, the nutmeg finish Weston fireplace is the ultimate answer, featuring ornate, carved scrollwork. And when square footage is at a premium, the Oxford corner fireplace is a space-saving way to create a focal point, in oak or cherry.
When it comes to home theater, the Bennett media console combines the best in modern aesthetics and simple practicality. It is designed specifically for flat-screen televisions, with a reinforced platform built to hold televisions up to 60 inches in size. The electric firebox will not damage plasma televisions, nor will it affect their warranties. There’s also storage for audiovisual components and integrated cord management. Side shelves have beveled glass doors. The Bennett comes in a contemporary espresso finish with stainless steel trim.
