Let us know about your holiday bazaar
Fall evokes many pleasant memories: the return to school (admit it, you got bored during summer vacation), cooler weather, changing leaves, more savory and filling dishes. In Las Vegas, there’s another reason to welcome autumn: the Review-Journal’s annual listing of holiday bazaars.
Each year, we list fundraising bazaars offered by valley clubs and nonprofit organizations. In addition to the traditional Christmas array, some of the bazaars offer specialized items for other holidays as well, such as Halloween, Thanksgiving and Hanukkah.
For shoppers looking for something beyond the norm these bazaars often offer hidden gems.
Our rules are fairly simple. The sponsoring nonprofit group must provide us with the name of the event, date, time, street address and examples of what will be for sale. We also need to know specifically how the money raised will be used to benefit others. Last, we need a contact name and daytime phone number (not for publication) in case we need to follow up.
The deadline for this information is Sept. 17.
