RELIGION NOTES

All Saints’ Episcopal Church, 4201 W. Washington Ave., will present a recital by German concert organist Hans Hielscher at 7:30 p.m. Sunday. The program is free (878-2373).

The singing group Commandment 11 will perform at 10:45 a.m. Sunday at Sunrise Baptist Church, 1780 Betty Lane (452-8599).

The Black History Month concert “The History of the Negro Spiritual” will be presented at 3 p.m. Feb. 21 at Mountain View Presbyterian Church, 8601 Del Webb Blvd. The concert will feature choral spirituals performed by the College of Southern Nevada’s Chamber Chorale, pianist Voltaire Verzosa and a dramatic reading by James Weldon Johnson. EVENTS

Christ Episcopal Church, 2000 S. Maryland Parkway, will have a Mardi Gras event featuring food, bingo and prizes following the 10:30 a.m. service Sunday. Lunch will be available at noon, and bingo will begin at 1 p.m. (735-7655).
