WATCH DOLPHINS FROLIC
The Dolphin Habitat at The Mirage offers visitors a chance to see Atlantic bottlenose dolphins and, for the right price, interact with them.
The 2.5 million-gallon habitat is home to a family of the marine mammals, most of which were born at The Mirage.
The purpose of the habitat is educational rather than entertainment. Visitors hear about the mammals, their environment and role in the ecosystem. They also can watch as trainers work with the dolphins.
The habitat at 3400 Las Vegas Blvd. South is open from 11 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. weekends. After Memorial Day, the habitat will be open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. daily.
Admission is $15 for adults, $10 for children ages 4 to 12. Kids younger than 3 are admitted free. To be a dolphin trainer for a day costs $500 and includes breakfast, lunch, a photo of you with the dolphins and a day interacting with them in the water and on land.
