Clark County family services worker tests positive for COVID-19

Updated March 19, 2020 - 7:29 pm

A Clark County Department of Family Services employee was hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19, according to a release from the county.

In a news release, Clark County said Thursday evening that another employee was under self-quarantine as recommended by the Southern Nevada Health District.

Authorities said in the statement that no children or adults in any cases came into contact with the two employees.

Clark County did not specify in which facility the employees worked. But in the release, Clark County did say all employees at that facility were working remotely as authorities arrange for the building to be sanitized.

People needing to report child abuse or neglect can call the county’s hotline at 702-399-0081. People experiencing child neglect or abuse emergencies should still dial 911.
