Motorcyclist hospitalized with critical injuries after crash in Henderson
A motorcyclist was pinned under a city of Henderson truck Wednesday afternoon after the on-duty employee failed to yield, police said.
The crash happened about 2:10 p.m. near the intersection of San Gabriel Avenue and San Leandro Street. The initial investigation showed that Henderson city employee Nathan Ball, 41, failed to yield to the 30-year-old motorcyclist.
The motorcyclist was ejected from a 2016 Indian motorcycle and pinned under the pickup truck, police said. The rider was taken to Sunrise Hospital and Medical Center in critical condition, Henderson Police Department spokeswoman Michelle French said.
Ball, who was not injured in the crash, is a Henderson Building and Fire Safety employee.
Drug and alcohol tests were conducted, and neither impairment or speed appear to be factors of the crash, the Police Department said.
