Updated November 23, 2020 - 5:17 pm

A 19-year-old woman faces an arson charge after authorities said she set her mobile home on fire in east Las Vegas on Monday morning.

Alexis Bounds was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on a charge of first-degree arson, jail records show.

She is accused of starting a fire and destroying her home at the El Adobe Estates mobile home park, 825 N. Lamb Blvd., near Washington Avenue, according to a statement from the Las Vegas Fire Department. Dispatchers were alerted to the fire at 7:22 a.m.

Two other occupants lived in the home, but no injuries were reported, the department said. Damage was estimated at $50,000.

“When firefighters arrived, heavy flames and smoke were showing from the home,” the department said. “It took firefighters only a few minutes to bring the blaze under control.”

Clark County and North Las Vegas firefighters also responded to the blaze.

Bounds is being held on $20,000 bail and has an initial court appearance set for Tuesday morning, records show.
