Authorities ID woman found dead in apartment fire
The woman found dead in a southwest valley apartment fire Saturday has been identified as Debora Phillips, 53, of Las Vegas.
Clark County Fire Department investigators believe the apartment, at 4225 Solteros St., near Flamingo Road and Decatur Boulevard, caught fire accidentally because of a lit cigarette. The 7:30 a.m. fire was contained to the living room. When firefighters got inside, they found the body. The Clark County coroner’s office has not determined the cause of death.
A dog and a cat also died in the blaze.
