Cheyenne segment to be closed for roadwork over weekend
Cheyenne Avenue from Rainbow Boulevard to Tenaya Way, as well as the Cheyenne onramps and offramps to U.S. Highway 95, will be closed this weekend for a Nevada Department of Transportation repaving project.
The closures will run from 9 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday.
Motorists are encouraged to follow the detour signs to Lake Mead Boulevard or Craig Road.
Crews will remove a layer of old pavement on Cheyenne and then put down a new layer in a “mill and fill” process.
