PETRA A GREEK TAVERNA TO HOST WINE AWAY WEDNESDAYS EVENT

Petra A Greek Taverna at Tivoli Village, 440 S. Rampart Blvd., No. 180, plans to host a Wine Away Wednesdays event from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday in conjunction with Las Vegas Woman Magazine.

LES KINCAID PLANS CLASSES IN SEPTEMBER

Les Kincaid, host of the radio wine show "Wines Du Jour," plans to host a Taste of Wines class from 6 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesdays through Oct. 17 at Total Wine & More, 501 N. Stephanie St. in Henderson.

SAHARA WEST LIBRARY TO HOST COOKING WITH CHEF Q: ITALIAN CUISINE CLASSES

LAS VEGAS WINE AND FOOD FESTIVAL COMING TO RED ROCK RESORT

The Las Vegas Wine and Food Festival is planned for Saturday at Red Rock Resort pool, 11011 W. Charleston Blvd.

Expect local restaurants, celebrity chefs and 100 to 150 wineries from all over the world. The event will be hosted by Barcelona Enterprises. The proceeds will go to the James Beard Foundation.

DOWNTOWN BREW FESTIVAL COMING OCT. 20 TO CLARK COUNTY AMPHITHEATER

Motley Brews and Ballast Point Brewing Co. plan to host the Downtown Brew Festival from 2 to 6 p.m. Oct. 20 at the Clark County Amphitheater, 500 S. Grand Central Parkway.

More than 40 local and regional breweries will feature more than 150 craft beers for tasting.

General admission tickets are $32 in advance and $42 at the door. VIP pavilion tickets are $42 in advance and $52 at the door and including entry to the festival one hour before general admission and exclusive food and beer tasting options by Todd English P.U.B. and Redstone Meadery. EASTER SEALS PLANS CHEERS TO CHOCOLATE EVENT FOR OCT. 20

Easter Seals Nevada plans to host its second annual Cheers to Chocolate event with wine and chocolate tasting from 7 to 9 p.m. Oct. 20 at Tivoli Village, 302 S. Rampart Blvd.

Sample more than 35 different wines provided by Total Wine & More and chocolate by Vosges Haut Chocolat, Godiva Town Square, Nothing Bundt Cake, Popcorn Girl, CupKates, Leone Café and more.

Musical entertainment is planned by Phat Pack, a trio of cast members from "Phantom —- The Las Vegas Spectacular," as well as a silent auction featuring jewelry, art, show tickets and more.

Arizona Charlie’s has designated the Reuben as its signature sandwich at both its Sourdough Cafe locations.

Based on customer demand, the sandwich will be permanent fixture to the menu. It features a half pound of corned beef, thinly sliced on site, along with sauerkraut, Swiss cheese, and Arizona Charlie’s homemade version of thousand island dressing. The sandwich is served hot on marble rye with fries, coleslaw or potato salad for $5.99 with an ace I PLAY card.
