Halloween Happenings

The Springs Preserve Haunted Harvest, featuring a haunted house, trick-or-treat stations, carnival games, live entertainment and a petting zoo, is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. weekends Oct. 19-21 and Oct. 26-28 at the Springs Preserve, 333 S. Valley View Blvd. Tickets are $8 for adults, $5 for children 5 to 12 and free for children 4 or younger. In addition, KSNE-FM, Sunny 106.5, plans its annual Safe Street trick-or-treating event at Haunted Harvest from 4 to 8 p.m. Halloween night, Oct. 31. Visit springspreserve.org.

The Merryhill Grand Teton PTO, a nonprofit group of parents and community members, plans a fall festival from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the Gilcrease Nature Sanctuary, 8103 Racel St. Expect games, horse carriage rides, balloon artists, face painting, a silent auction and more. Admission is a $5 donation for adults, $1 for children and $4 for military personnel and seniors. Tickets for activities will cost $1. Raffle tickets will be available for $2. The Resort on Mount Charleston, 2275 Kyle Canyon Road, plans to host a bonding event for owners and their dogs from noon to 3 p.m. Saturday. The Gone to the Dogs event is to include a Halloween dog costume contest for a chance to win a one-night stay at the resort. The resort also plans to have a special pet room package. The Las Vegas Farm, 7222 W. Grand Teton Drive, plans to launch its Farm Fall Harvest Festival from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday through Sunday and Oct. 25-31. The Farm plans to feature candied apples, pumpkin chips, hay rides, a cow train, face painting, pumpkin carving, specialty and winter squash and more. Admission is $1. A Halloween Luncheon for seniors 50 or older, featuring salad, dinner served in a pumpkin, dessert and beverages, is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. Friday at Lieburn Senior Center, 6230 Garwood Ave. Tickets are $5, and reservations are required. Call 702-229-1600.

A Harvest Festival featuring games, face painting, food, a silent auction, a book sale, vendors, a bake sale, a haunted house and a disc jockey is scheduled from 4:30 to 8 p.m. Friday at Eisenberg Elementary School, 7770 Delhi Ave. Call 702-799-4680.

A Howling Halloween Carnival featuring a costume contest, games, drawings and candy for the kids is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 25 at Doolittle Community Center, 1950 N. J St. Call 702-229-6374.

Haunted at the Ranch, featuring carnival games, bobbing for pumpkins, a bounce house and a haunted house, is scheduled from 6 to 8 p.m. Oct. 26 at the Whitney Ranch Recreation Center indoor pool, 1575 Galleria Drive, Henderson. One-Stop Shopping Expo and Spread the Word Nevada will collect gently used books; attendees can receive five raffle tickets for book donations. Prizes are to be given from expo vendors. A Classic Halloween Car Show, featuring the Mustang & Classic Ford Club of Las Vegas’ display of 120 makes and models of cars, live music by The Chuck E. Bumps Rockabilly Band and candy for kids, is scheduled from 5 to 9 p.m. Oct. 27 at Tivoli Village, 302 S. Rampart Blvd. Admission is free. The event benefits the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
