Ingrid I. Holm-Garibay was locked up for seven months in 1999 in the North Las Vegas Detention Center for working without the permission of the Immigration and Naturalization Service. While waiting for her political asylum request to be granted, she met Frank Darwin Alexander, an inmate sentenced to double life without parole for a litany of crimes including sending a bomb to the White House with the intent to kill then-President Bill Clinton.
