Passenger in critical condition following crash in western Las Vegas

Las Vegas police detectives are investigating a crash in western Las Vegas that left a female passenger in critical condition.

Officers were called at 9:02 p.m. to a single-vehicle crash near West Fort Apache and West Flamingo roads, according to Metropolitan Police Department Lt. Frank Humel.

“Evidence at the scene and witnesses’ statements indicate that a silver 1999 Lexus was traveling northbound on South Fort Apache Road, approaching West Flamingo Road,” a Metro preliminary accident report stated. “The Lexus left the roadway to the right and struck a light pole and utility box

with the right side of the vehicle.”

A female passenger was taken to the hospital and was in critical condition, Metro said.

The driver of the Lexus remained at the scene and did not display any signs of impairment.
