Seen in 702: Yo, Fremont Street buskers! Mom’s in town, so don’t disappoint
In the middle of Windmill Lane, there was an honest-to-goodness tumbleweed.
There it was, like in all the “Ricochet Rabbit” cartoons, rolling through the street and into a parking lot.
It was then I remembered, “Oh, I have a weekly whatever-this-is. This would have been a good time to use my camera phone.”
Admittedly, it was nothing like what these motorists encountered in Washington state, but it would have been nice to capture.
Instead, I’ll turn my attention to the wonderful buskers who populate the Fremont Street Experience. My mother, who has arrived for her annual escape from Midwest winters, is very entertained by the, shall we say, eclectic offerings.
Singers and musicians are fine. Those that cosplay have invested in their various costumes for a reason. Those that wear little more than dental floss also have their reasons. If it entertains the masses, who am I to argue.
This space in front of the Fremont was idle Wednesday morning.
Time to have fun.
