Vegas getting a few raindrops from storm

The raindrops that fell over a few Las Vegas neighborhoods Saturday afternoon are sticking around just long enough to speckle the concrete, according to the National Weather Service.

Whatever moisture was felt in the late afternoon should wrap up by the late evening, “any rain beyond that will be to the east of us,” said weather service meteorologist Clay Morgan. The valley’s forecast for the next week doesn’t include rain.

High temperatures will remain above average for this time of year, in the mid to upper 80s, at least through Tuesday. Those temperatures and lows in the lower to mid-60s will likely be accompanied by light winds, but nothing serious, Morgan said.
