Las Vegas police officer injured in accident
A Las Vegas police officer was injured in an accident early Sunday morning.
The officer was riding a dirt bike-type vehicle about 3:30 a.m. near Las Vegas Boulevard and Harmon Avenue when he hit a taxicab, Las Vegas police Lt. Barbara Schmidt said.
The officer was transported to University Medical Center for treatment. His injuries were not life-threatening.
He has not been identified. It is unclear who was at fault in the accident.
