Woman sent to hospital when cement mixer, car collide
Traffic is backed up after a cement mixer and vehicle collided near Alexander Road and the Las Vegas beltway.
The woman driving the car was sent to University Medical Center in critical condition.
The accident happened about 11 a.m. at Cliff Shadows Parkway and Stange Avenue, according to Las Vegas police.
Additional officers were called to the scene to direct traffic about 1:30 p.m. The front entrance of a gated community was being impeded by the accident and causing additional traffic problems, police officials said.
