Rain remains in Las Vegas Valley for another day

Another chance for rain in the Las Vegas Valley continues through Monday, the National Weather Service said.

The likelihood for thunderstorms stands right at 50 percent with weak showers in the morning that could turn heavy in the afternoon, meteorologist Chris Stachelski said.

If things don‘€™t lighten up with some sun in the afternoon, it‘ll be an overcast Monday. The day‘s high is expected to reach 93 degrees with a low of 77.

Just about .01 inch of rain was recorded at McCarran International Airport after the valley was showered with pretty light rains overnight, Stachelski said.

The flash-flood watch issued by the weather service on Sunday will continue through Monday until 10 p.m. as moisture from Hurricane Delores remains in the area.

Tuesday‘s weather should take a bit of a turn as temperatures go back up to 98 degrees. Any chance for showers are likely for the mountains, Stachelski said.
