Some snow expected in Las Vegas on New Year’s Eve

New Year’s Eve prediction: It definitely will be cold and it probably will snow.
National Weather Service meteorologist Caleb Steele said Saturday that forecasters are confident that a moisture system is working its way into the Las Vegas Valley.
What they don’t know is where the snow is going to fall.
“We’re less confident in where it will be falling,” Steele said of the possible snowfall on the biggest celebration of the year on the Strip that includes a huge fireworks show and draws more than 300,000 people.
Even then, Steele is not sure of just how much the valley would actually get.
He was sure about one thing, New Year’s Eve will be a cold night.
He also said that the valley will continue to be freezing cold Sunday morning just below 30 degrees. The high will hit about 50.
