Eldorado’s girls stun Coronado
Taylor Price rolled a 201 game in her 588 series Wednesday at The Orleans to help Eldorado’s girls stun three-time defending state champion Coronado, 7-2 in the Sunrise Region final.
Gabriella Kinney added a 214 game and a 575 series for the Sundevils. Raquel Kinney rolled games of 206 and 200 in a 574 series. Meghan Parz added a 204 game.
Bonanza 7, Palo Verde 2 — At The Orleans, Hannah Chipman had the high game (232) and high series (596) on the girls side, lifting the Bengals past Palo Verde in the Sunset final.
Sarah Seadore rolled a 591 series for Palo Verde.
Eldorado and Bonanza will meet for the state title Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at The Orleans. Bonanza won its only girls state bowling title in 2005. Eldorado has never won a state bowling crown.
BOYS
Silverado 9, Foothill 0 — At The Orleans, Zack Hattori’s 694 series lifted defending state champion Silverado past Foothill in the Sunrise Region final.
Jake Butturff rolled a 245 game and a 693 series for the Falcons.
Bonanza 7, Shadow Ridge 2 — At The Orleans, Cory Shock rolled a 257 game to lead the Bengals past Shadow Ridge.
Bonanza will meet Silverado for the state title Thursday at 2:30 p.m. at The Orleans. Silverado also won the state title in 2001. Bonanza has never won a state boys bowling crown.
