Outlook: Hansen finished third in the Class 2A Southern Region meet and seventh in the state meet last season.

He leads a group of six returning lettermen that also includes Cook, who was the state runner-up in the 3,200 run in track last year.

“We have a small, but experienced squad,” Bernick said. “Tucker Hansen and Ian Cook enter the season as the top returning runners with strong support from juniors Chris Tuschiyama, Tanner Rubeli and Julius Santo-Prieto, and senior Garrison Ream.”
