FLAG FOOTBALL: Alicia Kestner’s two-point conversion lifts Bonanza over Sierra Vista in OT
Bonanza’s Alicia Kestner caught the game-winning two-point conversion in overtime Wednesday to lift the Bengals‘ flag football team to a 33-32 win over visiting Sierra Vista.
Brianna Hernandez-Silva threw for 196 yards and four touchdowns and ran for 131 yards and a score for Bonanza.
Shayne Dunn caught two TD passes and ran for a TD for the Bengals.
Virgin Valley 26, Boulder City 13 — At Boulder City, the Bulldogs topped the Eagles.
Nicole Valle completed 13 of 20 passes for 204 yards and two touchdowns to lead Boulder City. Taylor Tenney and Emily Mull each caught a TD pass, and Kenadee Bailey had nine tackles and a sack for the Eagles.
Las Vegas 28, Eldorado 6 — At Las Vegas, Sabrina Saldate had a rushing touchdown and a passing TD to help power the Wildcats past the Sundevils.
Natalie Gennuso caught two TD passes, and teammate Kaitlyn Horstdaniel threw two touchdown passes for Las Vegas.
Durango 42, Spring Valley 12 — At Durango, Kiana-Capri Wilcox had four rushing touchdowns, and the Trailblazers scored 24 unanswered points in the second half to down the Grizzlies.
Deszarai Bellender added three rushing scores for Durango, which led 18-12 at halftime.
Savannah Villanueva had two rushing TDs for the Grizzlies.
Desert Oasis 32, Clark 0 — At Clark, Makayla Rickard completed 11 of 18 passes for 171 yards and two touchdowns and ran for 60 yards and a score on seven carries to power the Diamondbacks by the Chargers.
Izriah Hodson and Alexis Mora each added a rushing TD for Desert Oasis, which led 12-0 at halftime.
Lillyana Ghanem had five catches for 94 yards for the Diamondbacks.
Moapa Valley 20, Chaparral 14 — At Overton, Felecia Perez caught a 52-yard touchdown pass as the Pirates defeated the Cowboys.
Alexis Peay and Michelle Ward each ran for short touchdowns for Moapa Valley, which led 14-7 at halftime.
Tech 26, Del Sol 12 — At Tech, Katy Orellana passed for 180 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 85 yards and a score to lead the Roadrunners past the Dragons.
Orellana completed 10 of 15 passes, including a 60-yard TD strike to Avery Rayos, and a 20-yard scoring pass to Jalin Arroyo.
Rayos finished with seven catches for 110 yards. Aylin Silva had 15 tackles, and Kathleen Fonua intercepted two passes for Tech.
Rancho 38, Valley 0 — At Rancho, the Rams jumped out to a 20-0 halftime lead and rolled past the Vikings.
