FLAG FOOTBALL: Deborah Grant, Green Valley rally past Tech

Deborah Grant ran for 117 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries, and Green Valley’s flag football team overame a one-point halftime deficit to top visiting Tech, 25-13 on Thursday.

Quarterback Bella Cipili threw two touchdowns to wide receiver Hennessy Elkins for Green Valley, which trailed 7-6 at the break.

Cipili finished 6-for-11 for 86 yards, while Elkins caught four passes for 48 yards.

Christina Mayberry led Green Valley with seven tackles, and teammate Erin Zinke had five tackles and a sack.

Shadow Ridge 30, Coronado 20 — At Shadow Ridge, Nico Tripp-Herring completed 11 of 19 passes for 203 yards and two touchdowns, and Jordan Ford had 14 rushes for 190 yards and two scores to lead the Mustangs past the Cougars.

Samantha Milanovich had seven receptions for 105 yards and a TD for Shadow Ridge, which led 18-14 at halftime.

Gabby Martinez had five tackles, and Sonia Triana added four tackles and a sack for the Mustangs.

Centennial 41, Basic 13 — At Centennial, LeNae Thomas scored on runs of 15, 35 and 18 yards to lead the Bulldogs past the Wolves.

Aliyah Wyrick and Taylor Aquino each had a rushing TD, and Halli Erickson threw a 38-yard TD to Denae Benites for Centennial.

Benites also had two interceptions, and Kayla Kipp-Nobles had two sacks for the Bulldogs.

Legacy 32, Mojave 0 — At Mojave, Jalyn Joule finished with four touchdown passes, three of which went to Mikaela Nunez, in the Longhorns’ victory over the Rattlers.

Nunez had seven receptions for 119 yards, and Qaylee Baker-Judie added six catches for 106 yards and a touchdown.

Joule threw for 225 yards.

Kayla Hackett had an interception return for a touchdown, and Braelin Brockway came away with two of Legacy’s four interceptions.

Boulder City 26, Liberty 0 — At Boulder City, Nicole Valle completed 9 of 12 passes for 179 yards and three touchdowns, and Nikki Meleo rushed for a TD as the Eagles blanked the Patriots.

Kenadee Bailey had four catches for 104 yards and two scores and added 37 yards rushing, and Emily Mull caught a TD for Boulder City.

Cimarron-Memorial 43, Moapa Valley 12 — At Overton, Tiarra Del Rosario threw five touchdown passes and ran for another score as the Spartans routed the Pirates.

Del Rosario completed 26 of 34 passes for 353 yards. She ran for 56 yards on five carries.

Alyssa Karpinski caught 14 passes for 209 yards and two touchdowns, and Logan DeLong had 10 catches for 162 yards and two touchdowns.

Nancy De La Torre had three interceptions, and Morgan Hemphill had nine tackles to lead the Spartans defense.

Eldorado 32, Sunrise Mountain 18 — At Eldorado, MohnAi Roberson had 15 carries for 288 yards and five touchdowns to lift the Sundevils over the Miners.

Quarterback Devyn Swain completed 14 of 16 passes for 151 yards for Eldorado. Brenda Ramirez had 12 tackles, and teammate Mauriceia Roberson supplied 11 tackles and a sack for the Sundevils.

Silverado 21, Arbor View 12 — At Arbor View, Victoria Bravo had 21 carries for 215 yards and three touchdowns in the Skyhawks’ win over the Aggies.

Francesca LoCascio had eight sacks on defense for Silverado, which led 15-0 at halftime.

Palo Verde 16, Durango 0 — At Durango, Betsy Bellinger and Olivia Rose each scored a touchdown as the Panthers blanked the Trailblazers.
