FLAG FOOTBALL: Fabray Elam leads Western past Mojave
Fabray Elam rushed for three touchdowns and caught a touchdown pass on Thursday to lead Western’s flag football team to a 39-18 home win over Mojave.
Elam rushed for 153 yards on 18 carries.
Alejandra Alvarez-Torres also ran for a score, and Tiona Williams caught a touchdown pass for the Warriors.
Alvarez-Torres had eight tackles and an interception for Western.
Coronado 32, Silverado 14 — At Coronado, Caitlin Shannon threw five touchdown passes to lead the Cougars past the Skyhawks.
Shannon finished 13-for-20 for 200 yards. Jensen Boman had five receptions for 95 yards and two TDs, and Reagan Raimer added two TD catches.
Trinity Rhoades had a receiving TD and rushed for 67 yards on 13 carries for Coronado, which led 25-8 at halftime.
Victoria Bravo scored both of Silverado’s touchdowns.
Palo Verde 19, Centennial 18 — At Centennial, the Panthers slipped past the Bulldogs to remain tied for first place in the Northwest League.
LeNae Thomas ran for 72 yards and a touchdown on 10 carries for Centennial and caught a 58-yard TD from quarterback Halli Erickson.
Denae Benites had two interceptions for Centennial.
Cimarron-Memorial 28, Arbor View 6 — At Cimarron, Tiarra Del Rosario threw three touchdown passes as the Spartans downed the Aggies.
Alyssa Karpinski caught eight passes for 110 yards and a touchdown for Cimarron. Logan DeLong ran for a touchdown and caught a touchdown pass, and Haylei Hughes also had a touchdown catch for the Spartans
Elizabeth Asoau had five tackles, a sack and and an interception to lead the Cimarron defense.
Shadow Ridge 26, Legacy 18 — At Shadow Ridge, Samantha Milanovich caught seven passes for 129 yards and a touchdown, ran for another score and had an interception to lead the Mustangs past the Longhorns.
Dayvian Diaz ran for 142 yards and two touchdowns on 13 carries for the Mustangs.
Samantha Guerra had two interceptions for Shadow Ridge, which intercepted five passes.
Basic 6, Liberty 0 — At Basic, Kaya Galam scored on a 1-yard touchdown run in the first half to lift the Wolves over the Patriots.
Desert Pines 27, Sunrise Mountain 20 — At Sunrise Mountain, Lauren Jackson scored with 43 seconds to play to give the Jaguars the win over the Miners.
