FLAG FOOTBALL: Kalaau-Sunia, Mountain Lions top Clark
Jamie Kalaau-Sunia caught three touchdown passes and had three interceptions Thursday to lead Sierra Vista’s flag football team to a 25-7 road win over Clark.
Kalei Watkins passed for 257 yards and three scores, and Courtney O’Neal added a rushing TD for the Mountain Lions.
Moapa Valley 26, Sunrise Mountain 12 — At Sunrise Mountain, Hattileigh Gordon threw four touchdown passes to lead the Pirates past the Miners.
Alexis Schraft caught two touchdown passes, and Brighton Crawford and Felicia Perez each had a TD catch for Moapa Valley.
Paola Juarez-Avila rushed for two touchdowns for Sunrise Mountain.
Desert Pines 19, Tech 12 — At Desert Pines, Tanaiya Hinton ran for 139 yards and two touchdowns on seven carries to lead the Jaguars past the Roadrunners.
Reina Trujillo ran for 117 yards and a touchdown on six carries for Desert Pines.
Mojave 40, Spring Valley 27 — At Spring Valley, Paige Smith had three touchdown runs to lead the Rattlers over the Grizzlies.
Leilani Limtiaco had two interceptions, a touchdown run and a touchdown catch for Mojave.
Michelle Hernandez also had a rushing TD for the Rattlers.
Michaela Hood passed for 288 yards and a touchdown and rushed for a score to lead Spring Valley. Sala mamaia caught three passes for 120 yards and a touchdown for the Grizzlies.
Boulder City 40, Chaparral 0 — At Chaparral, Jeanne Carmell threw three touchdown passes and ran for two scores as the Eagles blanked the Cowboys.
Carmell completed 19 of 25 passes for 272 yards, including scoring passes to Makenzy Waldo, Kenadee Bailey and Tarah Cox. She also rushed for 27 yards and two TDs on five carries.
Skyler McKay added a touchdown run for Boulder City.
Del Sol 25, Virgin Valley 20 — At Mesquite, Kalijah Williams ran for 152 yards and two touchdowns on 14 carries to lead the Dragons past the Bulldogs.
Tarika Poullard added 73 yards and a touchdown on seven carries for Del Sol.
Lauren Cranor threw a 20-yard touchdown pass to Estefany Gonzalez-Vargas for the Dragons.
Cheyenne 31, Western 0 — At Cheyenne, Liliana Cadacio threw three touchdown passes to lead the Desert Shields by the Warriors.
Cadacio completed 10 of 17 passes for 283 yards. Girly Tambeagbor had 119 receiving yards and two TD catches, and teammate Ly’Brina Shelton had 111 receiving yards and a TD catch for Cheyenne.
Andrea Hammond and Destiny Monroe each added a rushing TD for the Desert Shields.
Legacy 32, Shadow Ridge 27 — At Legacy, Akia Williams’ 1-yard quarterback sneak in the final second gave the Longhorns the win over the Mustangs.
Williams rushed for 172 yards on 15 carries, and added a 60-yard TD run. Traonna Hamblet added 92 yards and two TDs on eight carries for Legacy.
Shadow Ridge’s Victoria Tolle threw for 187 yards and two scores and had a rushing TD. Samantha Milanovich added 174 receiving yards and two TDs for the Mustangs.
Palo Verde 33, Durango 6 — At Palo Verde, the Panthers took a 27-0 halftime lead and rolled past the Trailblazers.
Claudina Luna returned an interception 83 yards for a score for Durango.
