FLAG FOOTBALL: Laurente helps Aggies roll by Canyon Springs
Katelyn Laurente rushed for 101 yards and two touchdowns Tuesday to lift Arbor View’s flag football team to a 30-0 victory over visiting Canyon Springs.
Melanie Ara ran for 90 yards and a score, and quarterback Taylor Howie tossed a 14-yard TD pass to Aira Pinpin for the Aggies.
Valley 19, Basic 13 — At Basic, Kayla Steiner had a touchdown catch, and Amanda Manresa returned an interception for a score as the Vikings rallied to beat the Wolves.
Arlene Acosta and Alexandria Kelly each a had a rushing touchdown for Basic, which led 13-6 at halftime.
Green Valley 30, Liberty 6 — At Green Valley, Bella Cipili tossed two touchdown passes and caught a TD pass to lead the Gators by the Patriots.
Cipili completed 11 of 19 passes for 160 yards, including scoring strikes to Hennessy Elkins and Carolina Velasquez. Elkins also threw a TD pass to Cipili, and Sara Braverman ran for a score for Green Valley.
Las Vegas 20, Desert Oasis 7 — At Desert Oasis, the Wildcats grabbed a 13-0 halftime lead and defeated the Diamondbacks.
Izriah Hodson rushed for 135 yards and a touchdown on 16 carries for Desert Oasis.
