FLAG FOOTBALL: Marruffo scores as time expires, lifts Dragons by Desert Pines

Alina Marruffo caught a 5-yard touchdown pass from Lauren Cranor as time expired Thursday to lift Del Sol’s flag football team to a 27-24 win over visiting Desert Pines.

The Dragons drove 80 yards in the final two minutes for the winning score.

Cranor completed 11 of 23 passes for 100 yards, and Tarika Poullard rushed for 129 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for Del Sol.

Shadow Ridge 32, Palo Verde 24 — At Palo Verde, Victoria Tolle threw three touchdown passes to Samantha Milanovich to lead the Mustangs past the Panthers.

Jordan Fish ran for 142 yards and a touchdown for Shadow Ridge.

Boulder City 33, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Boulder City, Jeanne Carmell tossed five touchdown passes to lead the Eagles by the Miners.

Carmell completed 22 of 32 passes for 287 yards and rushed for 88 yards on six carries.

Oshanna Remy caught five passes for 86 yards and two touchdowns for Boulder City, which also got touchdown catches from Kenadee Bailey, Tarah Cox and Aimee Finn.

Mojave 38, Spring Valley 19 — At Mojave, Raven Williams ran for three touchdowns, and Maria Valencia threw three touchdown passes as the Rattlers rolled past the Grizzlies.

Leilani Limtiaco caught two touchdown passes, and Michelle Hernandez hauled in one for Mojave.

Jozee Decunzo tossed two touchdown passes, and Madison Macove threw one TD pass for Spring Valley, which got two TD receptions from Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos and one from Jessica Wehrman.

Legacy 37, Durango 0 — At Legacy, Traonna Hamblett rushed for 191 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries as the Longhorns blanked the Trailblazers.

Nicole White threw touchdown passes to Mia Samuels and Akia Williams and ran for a score for Legacy. Williams rushed for 164 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries for the Longhorns.

Virgin Valley 20, Tech 14 — At Tech, the Bulldogs held off the Roadrunners.

Katy Orellana ran for a touchdown and threw a TD pass to Avery Rayos for Tech.

Moapa Valley 33, Chaparral 12 — At Overton, the Pirates pulled away from a 6-6 halftime tie to top the Cowboys.

Cheyenne 39, Western 0 — At Western, the Desert Shields blanked the Warriors.
