FLAG FOOTBALL: Reyes, Mountain Lions maul Trailblazers

Calista Reyes rushed for 232 yards and three touchdowns Thursday to help Sierra Vista’s flag football team to a 31-12 win over visiting Durango.

Kalei Watkins threw a 62-yard touchdown pass to Neomi Vazquez and hit Vladana Lazic with a 15-yard TD pass for the Mountain Lions.

Lazic also had three interceptions for Sierra Vista.

Kiana-Capri Wilcox tossed two touchdown passes to Natalia Avila-Cruz for Durango.

Las Vegas 25, Sunrise Mountain 6 — At Las Vegas, Paulina Franco threw two touchdown passes to Danielle Ruesch to lead the Wildcats by the Miners.

Franco completed 14 of 25 passes for 210 yards. Ruesch caught nine passes for 154 yards.

Samantha Taylor rushed for two touchdowns for Las Vegas.

Spring Valley 27, Shadow Ridge 19 — At Spring Valley, Amberlynn Twigg threw for 293 yards and four touchdowns as the Grizzlies downed the Mustangs.

Doris Gutierrez-Hoyos caught two touchdown passes, and Jozee DeCunzo and Danielle Lopez also caught touchdown passes for Spring Valley.

Silverado 27, Canyon Springs 6 — At Canyon Springs, Summer Taube scored three touchdowns to lead the Skyhawks by the Pioneers.

Nina Jensen added a touchdown for Silverado.

Tea Rivera threw a 10-yard touchdown pass to Yareli Trujillo for Canyon Springs.

Palo Verde 25, Cheyenne 20 — At Cheyenne, the Panthers topped the Desert Shields.

Del Sol 18, Liberty 7 — At Liberty, the Dragons built a 12-0 halftime lead and topped the Patriots.

Valley 19, Desert Pines 6 — At Desert Pines, the Vikings downed the Jaguars.
