FLAG FOOTBALL: Virgin Valley rallies from 25-point deficit to top Las Vegas in 3OT
Virgin Valley’s flag football team made a defensive stop in third overtime and proceeded to score a touchdown and claim a 51-45 road win over Las Vegas High on Friday.
The Bulldogs overcame a 32-7 halftime deficit.
Natalie Gennuso caught eight passes for 130 yards for Las Vegas. Kaitlyn Horstdaniel was 9 of 26 passing for 131 yards and three touchdowns for the Wildcats.
Foothill 26, Tech 6 — At Foothill, Madisyn McArthur completed 16 of 25 passes for 173 yards and three touchdowns as the Falcons took down the Roadrunners.
McArthur also rushed for 63 yards and a touchdown. Sydney Babakitis, Whitley Brow and Julia Lynch each caught a touchdown pass for Foothill, which led 12-6 at halftime.
Brittania Beltran led the Falcons defense with seven tackles.
Sierra Vista 33, Del Sol 20 — At Del Sol, the Mountain Lions grabbed a 20-6 halftime lead before downing the Dragons.
Del Sol’s Tarika Poullard had nine carries for 95 yards and two touchdowns, and Angel Jones threw a 30-yard scoring strike to Arianna Reifer for the Dragons.
Palo Verde 32, Desert Oasis 19 — At Palo Verde, Allyson Snelling threw four passing touchdowns, and the Panthers used an 18-6 second half to defeat the Diamondbacks.
Makayla Rickard threw for 224 yards and three touchdowns for Desert Oasis, and teammate LillyAna Ghanem caught seven passes for 88 yards and two TDs.
Rancho 45, Clark 0 — At Clark, Katerina Anthony threw four touchdown passes, all to Christina Parada, as the Rams blanked the Chargers.
Parada also rushed for a touchdown, and Talaya Williams rushed for two scores. Donnacia McCullough added a rushing TD for Rancho.
Valley 20, Western 6 — At Western, the Vikings scored 14 consecutive second-half points to defeat the Warriors.
Fabray Elam ran for 198 yards on 22 carries to lead Western.
Boulder City 34, Mojave 6 — At Boulder City, the Eagles topped the Rattlers.
