Outlook: The on-campus popularity of the Stars’ program is booming — 43 players came out for spring ball this year compared to only eight in 2007.
It couldn’t come at a better time for Agassi Prep, which moves from 8- to 11-man play this season.
Porter and Beaman’s speed will be key in running Goodman’s spread option attack on offense and cover-3 zone scheme on defense.
“Speed kills, and I’ve got it,” Goodman said.
The 6-foot-4 Amos, whom Goodman touts as a potential Division I basketball recruit, and Scott will share quarterbacking duties to open the season.
At the heart of the Stars’ offensive attack, though, will be Porter, whom Goodman said is a college coach’s dream.
"Porter is a true D1 prospect, not only with his skills, but his character," Goodman said.
