The senior placed seventh in the Division 1 Varsity Red race at the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, California, with a time of 16 minutes, 8 seconds for 2.93 miles.

GIRLS CROSS COUNTRY

Emma Wahlenmaier, Palo Verde

The senior finished fifth in the Division 1 Varsity Green race at the Mt. SAC Invitational in Walnut, California. Wahlenmaier posted a time of 19 minutes, 28 seconds for 2.93 miles.

FOOTBALL

Jordan Wilson, Foothill

The sophomore quarterback had a hand in four touchdowns as the Falcons rallied from a 21-0 deficit to upset rival Basic, 37-35. Wilson completed 21 of 28 passes for 300 yards and three TDs and rushed for 144 yards and a touchdown.

GIRLS GOLF

Victoria Estrada, Coronado

The junior shot 2-over-par 146 over two days to capture the Class 4A state individual title at Eagle Valley in Carson City. Estrada helped the Cougars to their third consecutive team championship.

The junior had a total of six goals and five assists in two games.

GIRLS SOCCER

Deja Erickson, Arbor View

The junior scored two goals, including the game-winner with two minutes remaining, to lift the top-ranked Aggies to a 2-1 road win over No. 2 Palo Verde on Wednesday. She also scored a goal in Arbor View’s 5-0 win over Cimarron-Memorial on Monday.

Ben Gajardo, Desert Oasis

The senior capped his high school career with a 6-2, 6-3 victory over Clark’s Michael Pasimio for the the Class 4A state singles title.

Audrey Boch-Collins, Clark

The freshman started her high school career with a bang, winning the Class 4A state singles championship Saturday with a 6-2, 6-0 victory over Durango’s Averiana Mitchell.

GIRLS VOLLEYBALL

Olivia Kaiser, Calvary Chapel

The junior outside hitter played a key role as the Lions remained undefeated in the Class 2A Southern League. Kaiser totaled 26 kills and 24 digs in a pair of 2-1 victories over second-place The Meadows, and she had eight kills and seven aces in a three-set win over Agassi Prep.

HEAD OF THE CLASS

ARBOR VIEW — Football player Deago Stubbs had 18 carries for 78 yards and caught five passes for 57 yards and two touchdowns in a 55-21 win over Legacy.

CENTENNIAL — Boys soccer player Manny Lopez scored once in a 2-0 win over Legacy and once in a 3-1 win over Palo Verde. Girls volleyball player Kanani Lasike had eight kills, four digs and seven blocks in a 3-1 win over Sierra Vista.

CORONADO — Girls golfer Ashley Lung tied for second at the Class 4A state tournament and helped the Cougars to their third straight team title. Lung shot 2-under-par 70 in the final round, the low score over two days at Eagle Valley in Carson City, and finished at 7-over 151.

FAITH LUTHERAN — Football player Keagan Touchstone had an interception and four tackles in a 37-6 win over Shadow Ridge. Girls soccer player Megan Donnelly scored a goal in a 1-0 win over Shadow Ridge and once in a 1-1 tie with Cimarron-Memorial.

MOJAVE — Girls volleyball player Yasmit Sanchez had eight blocks against Pahrump Valley and seven kills against Cheyenne.

MOUNTAIN VIEW — Football player Daniel Reyes had five catches for 102 yards and a touchdown against Lake Mead. Girls volleyball player Breanna Gaumond had nine digs against Lincoln County.

PAHRUMP VALLEY — Boys soccer defender Nathan Dallin keyed the defense in a 0-0 tie with Desert Pines. Girls soccer player Makenzie Lunetto scored a goal in a 9-1 win over Desert Pines.

PALO VERDE — Football player Max Miller-Hooks had 12 tackles in a 40-13 win over Cimarron-Memorial. Girls volleyball player Carli Tanner had a total of 14 kills, 17 digs and two aces in victories over Centennial and Arbor View.

SIERRA VISTA — Girls volleyball player Aria Holmes had a total of 26 kills and six blocks in two matches. Boys soccer player Calvin Aguirre had two goals in a 3-3 tie with Spring Valley.
